Texas Spice is located in the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas and focuses on locally grown and fresh ingredients. Normally, I don't usually love restaurants that are inside hotels but this is a definite must!
From the moment you step inside you know you are in for a very Texas experience.
The rustic interior has a modern flair but still gives off a very "Southern Charm" type atmosphere. And you have three dining experiences: a private room, the spacious dining area, or the outdoor patio which provides a gorgeous view of downtown.
Plus, the home cooked food is beyond satisfying.
My mom and I checked it out the other day for lunch and we were both more than pleased with not only the food, but the also the service!
We each ordered a cup of the soup of the day which was Carrot and Coconut (an odd combination I know but don't judge it until you try it!)
We also ordered the Chef's special that day which was a brisket sandwich with spinach and a fried egg!
Overall...I LOVED IT! I can't wait to go back and try it out for dinner! Great food, good prices, and very good service all equal a great Texas experience :)
